Mr. Daniel L. Wiles, Esq., CIPFA., Principal and General Counsel joined the firm in 2002 after serving as a principal/owner of a financial advisory firm in the mid-west. Mr. Wiles has over twenty four years experience in the municipal legal and financial advisory field. His experience includes a broad range of general obligation, revenue and lease backed financings for transportation, general governmental operations, capital improvements, utilities, pension liabilities and higher education facilities, encompassing complex revenue and derivative based financing structures and related credit enhancement/rating issues. Currently Mr. Wiles is engagement and project manager for a number of Fieldman Rolapp & Associates clients including the City of Los Angeles, Los Angeles County, Riverside County, the J. Paul Getty Trust, the Riverside County Transportation Commission, the Del Mar Racetrack Authority, and North Dakota State University.

Mr. Wiles has been a financial advisor since 1990. He has served a variety of state agencies and state level issuers in the development of financing programs based on discrete revenue sources; lease based general credit appropriation structures and general obligation bonds. He engaged in a multitude of public purpose projects including transportation, economic development, sports facilities, utility revenue, lease finance and general infrastructure. Mr. Wiles was also a founding shareholder in the creation of a bank-holding corporation that resulted in the opening of a commercial bank in the Minneapolis - St. Paul, Minnesota area.

Mr. Wiles received his Bachelor of Science degree in Economics, magna cum laude, from the University of Minnesota, College of Liberal Arts and received his Juris Doctor, magna cum laude, from the University of Minnesota Law School. Mr. Wiles is a member of the Order of the Coif and was an editor for the Minnesota Law Review and a National Merit Scholar. He is an author and speaker in the field of public finance, with presentations for the Association of California Water Agencies, Government Finance Officers Association, California Special Districts Association, American Association of Airport Executives, National Council of Health Facilities Finance Authorities, National Association of Higher Educational Facilities Authorities and the Leagues of Cities in California, Minnesota and North Dakota. Mr. Wiles currently is licensed to practice law in Minnesota and Colorado. He is also a registered investment advisor (Series 65), a supervisory principal of Fieldman Rolapp Financial Services and a Certified Independent Public Finance Advisor.
