Daniel L. Wiles, Esq.

Mr. Daniel L. Wiles, Esq., CIPFA., Principal and General Counsel, joined the firm in 2002 after serving as a principal/owner of a financial advisory firm in the mid-west. Mr. Wiles has over twenty-eight years experience in the municipal legal and financial advisory field. His experience includes a broad range of general obligation, revenue and lease backed financings for transportation, general governmental operations, capital improvements, utilities, pension liabilities, charter school and higher education facilities, including complex revenue and derivative based financing structures and related credit enhancement/rating issues. Mr. Wiles is engagement and project manager for Fieldman, Rolapp & Associates clients including the City of Los Angeles, Los Angeles County, Riverside County, the Riverside County Transportation Commission, Ventura County, the Del Mar Racetrack Authority, and North Dakota State University.
Mr. Wiles has been a financial advisor since 1990 after spending eight years practicing public finance law as a bond/underwriter's counsel. He has served a variety of state agencies and state level issuers in the development of financing programs and quantitative analyses. Mr. Wiles was also a founding shareholder in the creation of a bank-holding corporation that resulted in the opening of a commercial bank in the Minneapolis - St. Paul, Minnesota area.
Mr. Wiles received his Bachelor of Science degree in Economics, magna cum laude, from the University of Minnesota, College of Liberal Arts and received his Juris Doctor, magna cum laude, from the University of Minnesota Law School. Mr. Wiles is a member of the Order of the Coif and was an editor for the Minnesota Law Review and a National Merit Scholar. He is an author and speaker in the field of public finance. Mr. Wiles currently is licensed to practice law in Minnesota and Colorado. He is Chief Compliance Officer of Fieldman Rolapp Financial Services, and he is a Registered Investment Advisor Representative (Series 65). In addition, Mr. Wiles holds the CIPFA designation as a Certified Independent Public Finance Advisor from the National Association of Independent Public Finance Advisors. He also serves a s a Board and Audit Committee member for the Child Abuse Prevention Center of Orange County.
