Thomas G. Johnsen
Mr. Thomas G. Johnsen, Principal, joined the firm in May 1988. Mr. Johnsen’s experience in public finance includes utilizing certificates of participation, community facilities district bonds, special assessment bonds, revenue bonds, and general obligation bonds. Mr. Johnsen’s financial advisory experience with California city governments includes the cities of Corona, Orange, Chula Vista, Encinitas, Rancho Cucamonga and Del Mar. Other clients include Madera County, Yuba County and several water and wastewater special districts.
Prior to joining Fieldman, Rolapp & Associates, Mr. Johnsen was an investment banker and initiated the public finance group at a California-based securities firm. He has also been a private and public sector land use planner.
Mr. Johnsen has a Master of Science in Regional Planning and a Bachelor of Science in Economics. He holds the CIPFA designation as a Certified Independent Public Finance Advisor from the National Association of Investments Advisors. Mr. Johnsen also is licensed as an Investment Advisor Representative.
