Thomas G. Johnsen
Mr. Thomas G. Johnsen, CIPFA, Principal, joined the firm in 1988. Mr. Johnsen’s experience in public finance includes utilizing certificates of participation, community facilities district bonds, special assessment bonds, and revenue bonds. Mr. Johnsen’s financial advisory experience includes multiple California cities, several county governments, and many water, wastewater and recreation special districts. Historic clients include the Cities of Corona, Orange, Chula Vista, Encinitas and Del Mar. County clients have included Madera, Sonoma and Yuba. Special district clients have included Jurupa Community Services District, Olivehurst Public Utility District, and Padre Dam Municipal Water District. Mr. Johnsen has also acted as financial advisor to the Roman Catholic Diocese of Orange.
Mr. Johnsen has a Master of Science in Regional Planning and a Bachelor of Science in Economics. Mr. Johnsen is licensed as a Registered Investment Advisor Representative (Series 65) and he holds the CIPFA designation as a Certified Independent Public Finance Advisor from the National Association of Independent Public Finance Advisors.
